Pure joy in dog form — cheerful, gentle, and endlessly loving.

About the Golden Retriever

The Golden Retriever is synonymous with the perfect family dog — and for good reason. They are exceptionally gentle, easy to train, and joyful in everything they do. Our Goldens are raised with abundant human contact and socialization, making them ideal companions for families, individuals, and even therapy work.

History

Developed in the Scottish Highlands in the 1800s by Lord Tweedmouth, the Golden Retriever was bred to retrieve game from water and land. Their soft mouth, intelligence, and gentle temperament made them popular gun dogs. By the 20th century they became one of the most popular family and service dog breeds worldwide.

Care & Maintenance

Goldens need at least 1–2 hours of exercise daily and love swimming, fetching, and hiking. Their beautiful double coat sheds significantly — daily brushing during shedding seasons is recommended. They are people-oriented dogs and thrive with companionship. Goldens are not well-suited to being left alone for extended periods.
